    Reverse light switch

    The reverse light switch activates the rear reversing lights when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear, alerting other road users and pedestrians of the vehicle’s backward movement. It also provides input to additional systems such as parking sensors, rear cameras, and automatic transmission control logic. Reliable reverse light activation is a legal safety requirement and a critical visual warning function during reversing maneuvers.
