    Coolant Temperature Sensor

    The coolant temperature sensor measures the engine’s coolant temperature and sends precise data to the ECU, allowing accurate fuel mixture, ignition timing, and emission control. When functioning correctly, it supports stable idle, smooth acceleration, and efficient thermal management across all driving conditions. A failing sensor may send incorrect temperature readings, leading to hard starting, poor fuel economy, or illumination of the check-engine light.
